Jimmy Carter Library and Museum

Jimmy Carter was US President from 1976-1980. He only served one term but like all US Presidents he got to build a library and museum. After this he was involved in international peace and democracy promotion. The center was only 15 mins drive from CDC so easy to visit. For me his presidency is most memorable for the Camp David Accord between Egypt and Palestine.

There was a book written “Getting to Yes” that outlines the approach Jimmy Carter took and has become a textbook for anyone involved in negotiations. Jimmy Carter I was told is now 94 and still visits the library and museum at times.

It seems all presidential libraries have a mock up of the Oval Office. (Visited the one at the Clinton Center)
